Itinerary Details

Your guide will meet you at hotel lobby at 8:00am ,taking a taxi or metro from your hotel to the first sight is on your request.Then start your pleasant walking along Nanluoguxiang,as one of the oldest hutongs in Beijing built by Mongolian people when Ghinggis Khan with his army conquered China. You will see those centuries-old courtyards, archways,wall and brick carvings there.Today pubs, restaurants and shops have given it a new taste .

Heading west along Gulou East Street for 1.2 kilometers from North end of Nanluoguxiang is the Drum Tower.It was built in 1272 during the Yuan Dynasty.The two-story building you see today was rebuilt in 1539 in the Ming Dynasty.It is 46.7 meters high.At second floor there were 25 drums,but were destroyed by Japanese Army during the war. Nowadays you can see 25 replica pieces and one original piece.

Hop on a rickshaw after visiting the Drum Tower and let someone pedal it for you.During the rickshaw hutong tour,you will see a 240-year old courtyard.Wondering in those narrow alleys,tasting the local people’s life.

After spoiled sitting on rickshaw,now time to have a little walk to Yandaixiejie hutong which has a lot local shops in several-hundred year old buildings then walk towards to Houhai lake enjoy the most beautiful scenery in the center of Beijing.You can stop in a coffee or tea house relaxing for a moment and then walk 1.2 kilometers to Jingshan Park,climb up 72-meter high man-made hill and enjoy a panoramic view of Forbidden city and whole Beijing.

End your tour by taking a taxi or metro back hotel.
